Terms of Service

Welcome to IRL Open. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Jamnaytac LLC, a Delaware limited liability company operating IRL Open and Win IRL (“we”, “us”). By creating or responding to a proposal, or otherwise using IRL Open — the app at app.irlopen.com and this site — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

What IRL Open is (and isn’t)

IRL Open is a scheduling and coordination tool: it lets a group propose a time to do something in real life, paint their availability, see the windows that work best, and lock one in. Its sister app, IRL Arena, keeps score — IRL Open schedules the game, IRL Arena scores it.

IRL Open is not an event, a venue, a ticketing or payment service, or a guarantee that anyone shows up. Availability is not commitment — “I could” is not “I will.” Whether people actually turn up is between you and your group.

Using it

Basic use requires no account. When you create a proposal you receive a share link (for responders) and a manage link (to lock, edit, or delete). Anyone with a link can use it at its level of access — you are responsible for who you share each link with.
Where accounts are offered, you’re responsible for your account and for keeping access to it secure. Don’t impersonate anyone.
Don’t misuse the service: no harassing other participants, no spam or bulk proposal creation, no scraping, no probing or disrupting the service, and nothing illegal. We may remove content or block access that breaks these rules.

Real-life activities are your own

IRL Open only coordinates times. Any activity you organize or attend through it is your choice and your responsibility, including deciding what’s appropriate and safe. To the extent permitted by law, you assume the risks of the real-life activities you and your group choose to do.

Your content

You own what you enter — proposal details, availability, display names, and RSVPs. By entering it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host and display it as needed to operate the service (for example, showing your availability in the proposal’s aggregate).

The service is provided “as is”

We work to keep IRL Open accurate and available, but suggestions, aggregates, and notifications can contain errors and the service may be interrupted. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IRL OPEN IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JAMNAYTAC LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, OR DISPUTE ARISING FROM THE REAL-LIFE ACTIVITIES YOU OR YOUR GROUP CHOOSE TO DO. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (WHICH, TODAY, IS $0). Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Ending things

You can stop using IRL Open at any time and request deletion of your data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or block access that violates these Terms or puts others at risk.

Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date. Continuing to use IRL Open after changes take effect means you accept them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
